  • Usage Data: We use PostHog analytics to understand how our service is used. This includes page views, feature usage, and device information. No personally identifiable information is sent to PostHog.
  • Email Addresses: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email for communication purposes only.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve our I Ching Oracle service
  • To maintain your reading journal and account
  • To process payments (handled by our payment provider — we never see your card details)
  • To send service-related emails (account confirmation, reading receipts)
  • To send newsletter emails (only if you opted in)
  • To analyze usage patterns and improve the service

3. How We Protect Your Data

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security to ensure your reading data is only accessible to you. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with industry-standard security practices.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase: Authentication and database hosting (USA)
  • Vercel: Application hosting (global)
  • PostHog: Product analytics (USA)
  • Payment Provider: Payment processing — your card details never touch our servers

5. Your Questions Are Private

The questions you ask during a reading are stored only to provide your reading history. They are never shared with third parties, used for advertising, or accessed by staff except to resolve technical issues with your explicit permission.

6. Data Retention

Your reading data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data
  • Object to processing
  • Data portability
